The history of Salamander goes back to Germany in 1885 to the cobbler Jakob Siegl and leather merchant Max Levi. Together, they created a successful business and, after only a short time, established their own factory and patented the distinctive Salamander brand.
Today, the Salamander company is a significant European retailer of luxury brand shoes. It is present in eight countries and operates more than 200 stores. In the Salamander stores you’ll find not only their Salamander brand products, but also a wide selection of shoes, handbags and accessories from other leading manufacturers, such as Aldo Brue, Belmondo, Brunate, Brunella, Bugatti, Clarks, Esprit, Galizia Torres, Gant, Geox, Hugo Boss, Hispanitas, Joop!, K&S, Lorbac, Lloyd, Moda di Fausto, Napapijri, Paul Green, Peter Kaiser, Sioux, Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, Zocalo, and many others.
